Crooked TimeThere are many interesting components of The North Quad that I found when looking at it. Just like the Bell Tower pictures, I found that the sky was beyond beautiful and wanted to capture the clean background within the photo. The building itself has many shapes and styles within it that I wanted to capture. For instance the arches, vents square windows, and detailing make this building quite interesting to view and photograph. To me this building would look like an ordinary building at first glance but its something you need to consider longer and take a moment to look.

Infinite LengthBlue CoverFront ViewI chose to photograph this building because of the mirror like windows and the complex patterns of the building materials and windows. I found it quite interesting how the windows look as though the sky has been placed in the building. However the mirrors were difficult to photograph because I didn't want to get the reflection of other building or the construction on this building. With this image I wanted to show this building as though its the only thing downtown and capture the sky as the only think behind it, to show how we can be singled out even when so many things and people surround us.
All I SeeEvery time I pass by The Swing sculpture I just want to stare at it because of how simple yet complex it is. Swings are simple and typically have some color. Yet this swing is thick and made up of rusted metal with arches and sharp edges. To me it portrays a sense of peace and anger at the same time. Though it was difficult to photograph this sculpture because of the placement of the swing and the building behind it. The struggle was worth the end result.
Under the CopperI chose to photograph this part of The Art Museum because of the modern appearance and the almost detached window. These images show cleanliness, clarity, and sharpness while still remaining calm. While the reflective surfaces were quite interesting to photograph it did make it difficult not to capture the inside of the building or other building behind it. I find this building so interesting because though you can't see it in the image it doesn't quite fit in with the surroundings and subtly stands out.
