While taking the pictures for climate change I realized we are the deciders whether we fix it or continue to hurt our earth. I wanted to show that we are part of nature and can be incorporated with it. The red leaf layer represents the color and complexity within us, though the leaves are one color there are many different shapes and sizes, and shades. The bark on my face shows the correlation between a trunk of the tree and a brain. The trunk is the main part of the tree and our brain is our control center. The tomato leaves in the background shows that nature is not only in us but surrounds us everywhere and we should keep it that way. The leaves and the plant from the tree on my shirt represents the resources we receive from nature and how we are taking away from them to benefit us. While using the photos in my selfie I tried to use each picture as a different element of my selfie. By combining a picture of a person with nature I wanted to put emphasis on the nature within us.

When I see my original self portrait and my double exposure, I see vast improvement in terms of a person and as a photographer/editor. In my original photo I feel that the pictures have meaning but are placed in an order that may not be as effective and the editing job needs some work. However on the double exposure I feel the actual portrait is much better photographed and the editing is done much better. I also see a change as a person by the way the image was taken. In the first image my face is cut off and veered towards the side. Although in my second image my face is fully in the photograph, and I feel the facial expression is more confident. These photos represent growth throughout the trimester in multiple different aspects.
